For one, Zimbabwe hardly ever get the leisurely of both departments firing at the same time. Its always one or the other. Unfortunately in this series the batsman just haven't showed up yet. Most don't seem to have an idea how to proceed at the crease at all. Only Williams and Raza have shown any signs of hope. Zimbabwe hardly has any replacements in waiting so perhaps a change in tactics. Maybe a green lively pitch to start off though Irfan's eyes will light up.

Utseya should forget competing with spinners like Cremer, Nyumbu etc as Utseya is no longer a spinner.
Utseya bowls seam up minus the run up. Theoretically, his competition is now with Panyangara, Madziva, Mupariwa etc.

I guess this is karma for the Ireland World Cup match...both games decided by 5 runs! I don't really believe that but some might...
But I'd be upset if I was Pak They took 22 off the final 6 in the last game so would have backed themselves to take 21 from 12 here against mediocre death bowling.
Pak now drops to 9th!

You should see the comments on Facebook from the Pakistani supporters what a bunch of sooks l, they were happy to be so kind with their words to Zimbabwe when we were happy to tour their s**t hole country and when they were beating us. But now because they lost they react with vile comments attacking our players ......
Be angry at the umpires not the players, it wasn't the players who decided to leave the field ......
I really hope we can win the 3rd match to stick it right up them ......

Talk about sore losers. These Paks would bomb Zimbabwe in a heart beat. I wonder if any of the players would dare step foot in Pakistan after reading some of the comments on social media.

The messages are a lot different to the ones when we toured there ......

Some of the PAK fans are alleging that the ZIM players "bullies" the umpires into calling it quits. I'm about to watch the replay on willow tv as I am interested to see how dark it was, and if the ZIM players were engaged in unsportsmanlike conduct.
If India or Australia bullied the umpires, I'm sure their fanbases would justify it.

Having watched the last 2 balls of the match on willow, I have to say the light looked OK for a finish. PAK were hard done by, one feels. One of the commentators was saying why bring them back for 6 overs of play after the 42nd over if you won't play the last 2 overs. It would have taken just 15 more minutes to get a result one way or the other. All 3 results were possible! But after having taken 22 off the final 6, you'd have to say the Paksters were backing themselves to score 21 from the last 12 with two set rampagers at the crease.
As a buddy of mine said, "gotta love cricket's antiquated rules. it adds color to the game."
The 3rd ODI is now going to be a cracker due to the emotions on both sides. I guess cricket is the winner here!

Listening to a lot of Ravi Shastri these days? :D
How bright things look from camera can be deceiving as the broadcasters tend to make things bright for folks watching back home. Commentators normally compare the lights in the stadium to give an idea of how dark it becomes, and on the back of that evidence, it was quite dark. Anyway, the decision was by the umpires and there is no reasons for fans from either side to get enraged on the opposition / their fans.
Although what I did see was some unnecessary chatter by Raza immediately after the umpires told Malik about the suspension, and then the even more avoidable shake of hands gimmick by one of the Zimbos as though the match had ended right there (was it Jongwe?) with Malik/ Shah. Imagine a devastated Malik hoping to finish the match and the opposition guy comes and shakes hands with you for "losing". Pretty sick, actually. Whatmore, Chigs and Hammy were very sympathetic and understanding towards the Pak camp in their behavior though. Dav was with Ali and the Pak coaches while Hammy left the field much later than his team, along with Malik and Shah.

Glad to beat Pakistan for only the fourth time, though it must feel a bit hollow.
His drop was off a free hit, would not of counted
It cost five runs though, didn't it?
