He'll now miss the remaining two ODI's.
This could however mean a debut for Roy Kaia...

I hope the ICC officials get to run twenty rounds around the Gaddafi stadium in the afternoon heat and when they pull up short they'll be sacked.

Not good news but I think Roy Kaia would be the obvious choice. However if they dont want to tinker with the opening pair, then wouldnt Coventry be the more suitable option at four.
Personally id move Williams to four and bring in Choppa lower down the order. I wonder if this means Williams will captain the side for the next two games. I think they will go with Hami.

Can i just clarify something to everyone here, Coventry is not in the ODI squad. He was there purely for the T20 stuff. He's not in the squad otherwise yes, he would be a decent option as a replacement.

Zimbabwean squad for the tour (including Choppa)
http://www.espncricinfo.com/pakistan-zi ... 74399.html
However, this doesnot state who is in T20 and who in ODI so ideally it means that all players are available for both (until mentioned otherwise). Having said that I also heard it that Choppa is not available for ODIs. Given the risky tour this is, T20 players should have given the option to fly home after the completion of T20s. Nothing of that sort too.

Good stuff. If Hami takes over we stand a chance of winning the next two.
Chigs total was good but he was given a plumb lbw lifeline and dropped twice.
Time to blood Roy- he needs the exposure and is a good talent, better than Coventry at ODI. Plus i think he'll make a debut tonne.

Ah yes completely forgot about the captaincy. Is Hammy a good leader?

Chigumbara is stepping in his stride. He is really finding his fit in the game and his in the form of his life. Don't see us mounting any challenge without him. So he may have got a few calls going his way it's all part of the game.

Ervine is also unavailable for next two ODIs because of new hamstring injury.

Out of 16, 1 unavailable, 1 suspended and 1 injured. Here are the remaining 13
Chibhabha
Raza
Masakadza
Williams
Kaia
Sibanda
Mutambami
Mupariwa
Cremer
Panyangara
Mpofu
Utseya
Vitori
Ideally Sibanda and Vitori should sit but Vusi will be given another chance. To manage the fiasco, I propose WC opening pair of Chibhabha and Raza with Vusi slotted after Kaia or Richie. Vitori and Prosper/Panny can sit.
