Please may nobody feel bad for Shingi. He's the opposite to Hami, who is a likable guy. Shingi thinks he owns cricket in this country, he's the kingpin at Mountaineers and has more pull than the coaches. He is a proper ZANU fool and doesn't know what manners are.

Maybe this is it, he has polarised people.

I don't think Shingi is a star, but without politics he would have played more games but clearly he's turned the people who matters off him

Hendricks, Williams, du Plooy, Smuts, Bokako, Hamza, Steyn, Bavuma - franchise/international so stop calling them a bunch of semi pros. I think you just hate Zimbabweans In general.

I know Kriterion will hide behind the internal troubles, but that tour match hurt BD badly.

What hurt BD more is the coach and the captain quitting after the first Test. The coach had actually resigned back in October 2016, but was somehow convinced or coerced to continue, and Bangladesh ended up beating England in the Test match later that month, with Sri Lanka and Australia to follow.

Those successes however glossed over the strife brewing inside the change room. Hathurasinghe had too much authority - he was named as a selector - and his insistence on a number of non-performing players (Sabbir Rahman, Imrul Kayes) as well as mistreatement of others (Mashrafee Mortaza, Mominul Haque) alienated the senior players.
Bangladesh cricket fanatic, observer of all others.

Exactly, this is a fairly strong SA Invitational XI. Wrong Smuts though, Jon-Jon is decent but Kelly is a mediocre bits and pieces man.

Yea I know, but Kelly is still a good player and would be a franchise regular if selection were fair.

Remember West Indies of 80s

Gurner, Holding, Marshall, Roberts

Zimbabwe going to have similar bowling line ups with

Blessing Muzarabani, Daniel Jakiel, Mark Olonga, Carl Mumba

Medium pacers like Jarvis & Chatara will be benched like Pattrick Paterson & Silvester Clerk for West Indies.

Stop misleading yourselves! ZIM A under Hondo hosted a much stronger side than this. Much stronger.

Steyn was only there to roll his arm for a few overs then leave. Bzvums's presence doesn't make this side stronger thsnyhd one the likes of Kasuza and Mutombodzi fared much better against.

I told you long ago that the side Hondo's A team faced was by far the toughest thing ZIM hosted in a long while. You all pretended I was crazy. Now look st what's happening.

Both sides are new to the pink ball. No excuses!!! Even worse considering the experience golf. Which is huge!

News flash. SA have a much much much bigger, much much much stronger talent base than Zim. Massive gulf between the two. This test is going to be an enormous challenge. No amount of tinkering with selection changes this fact.

Negro please.

Teams don’t care about these tour matches. It’s a net sesh. They just want to feel the conditions (hence why Burl just say there leaving balls).

Even the invincible Aussie side of the early 00s would lost to random counties in warm ups. It was just to feel conditions.

Zimbabwe can well get smashed but it’s not because of this

Well Namibia doesn't seem to be having any such problems against this "much much much bigger, much much much stronger talent base"...

They are actually winning the 3-Day "Tests"!!!

After Streak and Cremer's big mouths about 4-day Tests giving them a chance, Zimbabwe just lost BY 5 WICKETS within 3 Days to 3rd grade players! That's pathetic!***

If they can't even win within 3 Days against such opposition what do you expect from them and their coach??? :?

The definite middle order (3-6) of Craig, Taylor, Moor and Raza) just got a combined 100 runs against semi-pros and students in 8 innings. To call that pathetic would be an understatement!

You may all try to downplay this loss, but the embarrassment is eating the players. The morale is low. They're shaken. I don't even need to see them or be in that camp to know that they are feeling very low.

Be concerned. Be very concerned! deflecting doesn't help.

What else do Taibu, Streak and Cremer need to be put under pressure by fans if not such performances? If you won;t attack them but continue to give them a free pass then you're setting very low standards - not healthy for the country's premier cricket forum! This was the true "Test" because we all know they won't be a Test for the Proteas!

Even if they aren't they are a joke here already! How Streak and Taylor even got the abandoned T20 gigs plus now easy money through refunds is a question already. A lot of these clearly superior coaches and players("quota") should have gotten those roles instead.

***People out here bashing Panynagara for ripping through "3rd grade" players. Well, your "stars" and whole national team, under a "world class" overpaid coach just got molested by a 3rd grade select!

It's no more embarrassing than losing to Uganda.

It's not great for any Test team to lose a tour match, but it was our first time playing the pink ball. Hopefully they learn from the experience and try and bat time on Boxing Day.

That's unfair and you know it.

Pariah has gone from being anti-white to being anti-Zimbabwe. I wonder if there’s a similar South African forum that he torments?

Any neutral not affected by the mob psychology would be quick to argue that I'm actually more patriotic than Zimbabweans themselves

I wonder if there’s a similar South African forum that he enlightens

Plenty.

Mr Googly looking forward to standing in solidarity with inherent Apartheid racists and beneficiaries? Who would have thought?

Interesting.. was he not eligible? I wonder what the conditions are. Still surprised today that Mupariwa got a 5 year visa. Doesn't that kind of guarantee him At least permanent Res?

Yeah the government makes it tough for zimbos to go to oz.

Mupariwa is an interesting one and there's something very very unusual about his situation that I don't know.

My guess is they are paying the employer sponsorship fees for him and that's all he is getting and it's a 5 yr term.

Also, isn't he laying pipe into an Aussie b***h?

If so, he could be on a spouse visa sorta thing.

Is that how he got into DRC? :D

As for Mupariwa, why do white women love dreadlocked African men?
