Chakabva came of age this series. His batting today was very mature.
Taibu is an interesting comparison to make because they are both wicket keepers.

He may average higher than Taibu but young Tatenda was burdened with so much at such a young age and did so well and probably had his best years ahead of him ....
As for wicket keeping Taibu was heads and shoulders above Regis ....
Regis is a player we can count on now though with a test average in the 30's which is like averaging 40 in Zimbo terms .....

I think that's the wrong question because his wicket keeping just does not compare.
Could he be better than Stu Carlisle, C. Ervine or any other middle order batsman who doesn't bowl? Probably.

I can only assume you are referring to his batting. Taibu's keeping is beyond comparison, one ina generation pair of hands that. I said prior to Chakabv's last two half centuries that he has been our most compact batsman against spin o this tour but even then by age 25 Taibu has accomplished a great deal more. Chakabva I think is 28

Not fair comparison with Taibu. Hoever, Regis has more test runs than Vermeulen, Matsi, Waller, Mawoyo and in touching distance with Johnson. One more test and he can surpass Sibanda and Chiggs who have never ever scored a test ton in their career and Regis was on verge of scoring 2. Rather than flamboyance he showed true character, determination which will make him a great player.

He looked solid as well didn't he against the pace bowlers. I was really impressed with Shafiul Islam with the new ball. What a prospect Bangladesh have in him! Him and Taskin Ahmed could seriously do some damage in the future.
