We now have live scoring

Looks like Price and Chigumbura have been rested for the Eagles after a 12 ODI's in a row which is understandable and Utseya is missing for the Mountainners due to his ankle injury which he has not yet recovered from and Taibu is being rested as his hamstring may not yet be 100%

Nice to see Jarvis in the side :D

And Kudzai Sauramba is making his debut for the mountainners, lets hope the young lad performs well.

Also no Byran Strang or Chris Silverwood but i expect them to play more in the one day format this season particular Strang who would not of had a chance to prove his fitness in a four day game yet

I see that neither Hondo or Silverwood are playing for Eagles, no Mlambo or Nyamuzinga for Mountaineers either, i wonder if Mountaineers are trying out a few young keepers, Katsande made his debut in the last Logan match and now Sauramba in this game, interesting to see if Maudzi can repeat his performance against Rhinos when he scored 100 on debut.
If Maudzi's bio is correct he qualifies for the U19's. It's a surprise that they haven't selected him on the strength of his performances in the Logan Cup. Does anybody know anything about Sauramba?

Jarivs proving a bit expensive here which is a shame but good on young Jethro Maudzi who is currently 35 not out after his debut hundred. He is facing a decent Eagles attack compared to a fairly week Rhinos attack a couple of weeks ago and is showing that hge is one for the future. Why he is not in the under 19 side bemuses me.

Is he defintly Zimbabwean? or have cricinfo got his age wrong? or have the mountaineers called in a few favours? or is he not rated?

So many questions which will never get answered :(

Good work by Gware in the front. Both seamers seen to have been taken for a few. Not sure about Jarvis playing all these games. He really has proved to be a tough bloke. Lets hope he wont be burnt out or get a back injures as was the case for most of our young players. Panyangarara is quick to come to mind.

Not really sure what's going on with the score today, cricinfo show Mountaineers on 176-4 after 51.3 overs with 'Match delayed - Technical problem' on their scorecard

Maudzi 57, Matsikenyeri 43* & Mawoyo 42 - Garwe 2-39
"'Match delayed - Technical problem' on their scorecard" <-------- Hmmm interesting...last time i heard that excuse the scoreboard had stopped working...surely not!!!!

On another issue and I know someone raised it before, is there any info around on getting the new Zim kit? Or even maybe the domestic one day kits for the new franchises?

Mountaineers 291 (51.3 ov)

Another 100 for Matsikenyeri we have to give this guy credit as it looks Campbell has given him a real kick up the backside and it has worked.

A final scorecard now seems to have been put up.

Mountaineers 291 from 83.4 overs

Matsikenyeri 110 & Maudzi 57

Garwe 4-59, Manyumwa 2-56, Zhuwawo 1-35, Mbofana 1-37 & Jarvis 1-47

The match appears to be in it's 2nd day

Ey, Stewy has been putting in these consistant performances since the start of the season. He has really found his fit now and deserves his place in the national side. I'm really impressed by Gware though. He will be difficult to dislodge from the Eagles attack. Lets hope we are up for this run case. Good to see Mufambisi in the side as well.

The score keeps hopping about all over the place, it now seems that Eagles were 10-1 overnight, which explains why Garwe is batting at 3, in reply to Mountaineers 291.

Latest seems to be 130-4 in the 33rd over

Mutizwa 41 & Garwe 34 in a 2nd wicket stand of 79 with Butterworth and Lamb currently at the wicket, Shingi Masakadza 2-15 and a wicket each for Matsikenyeri and Maruma.

Mountaineers 291

Mashonaland Eagles 137/4 (34.2 ov)

This is looking to be a closely faught match with the Eagles two most experianced players in Lamb and Butterworth starting to build a partnership.

Is it time to give Shringai Masakadza a go in the national side as he has been at the top of the bowling charts for the last two years now so he must have something?

Mountaineers 291

Mashonaland Eagles 242/5 (66.0 ov)

Stumps - Day 2

The Eagles are very well placed here with Greg Lamb leading the way with 77 not out which will enhance his national team claims.

Im very worried about the standard of bowling in the first class game as apart from a few decent spinners it is very very average and will limit the progression of our batsman long term.

Surely Lamb is knocking the door down in terms of natioanl team selection ?? He's consistantly put in strong performances with both bat and ball.

Lamb hasnt been overly impressesive this season but good knocks like this will surely brighten his chances for national team honours.

Looks like Maruma doing a good job of cleaning the Eagles tail. From an over night score of 242/5 to 305/9 not good at all. But we have a first innings lead which is good considering this game may be heading for a draw. Nice to see Matsikinyere bowl more on the domestic scene. This would give him additional leverage in the national side.

Make that 315 all out. The morning sessions surely belonged to Mountaneers. Eagles manging to add only 73 runs on the over night score of 242.

Eagles 315/10 Lamb 85 Chakabva 55 Maruma 4/24 S.Masakadza 3/48
No-one going on to make a big score is becoming a bit of a trend in our domestic game, i mean the eagles have got 5 players with 30+ but none make a 100.

Still a nicely balanced match, Oh jarvis got one. Nice 8-)
