he's not my favourite but i'd guess Mark Vermeulen deserves a mention

and slightly off topic but how much afrikaans is still spoken in Zim, i can't imagine much but Blignaut still lives there, amongst others, so just wondered

Although im pretty sure he is an english speaker.

In regards to Afrikaners, they tend to stick around as they are virtually natives of Southern Africa.

Its the english who hop around the place, back and forth.

Strictly speaking-neither.

loosely speaking- An Englishman.

I will say one thing, i dont have a drop of Afrikaner in me (that i know of).
