Opening post

tino out with a healthly strike rate of 15.9 .the man would put `The Wall` to shame

If this is a sort of shoot-out for a middle order berth, Sean Williams has certainly backfired.

"Sean Williams falls caught at deep mid-on by Dawes off Cariah for 7. Terrible shot! ZIM 145-4 and a bit of trouble"

152-4 at tea, Hammy on 86*. Let's see if Maruma can stake a claim.

Maruma fails as well. I think that 2 of Williams, Waller and Maruma will play. Waller looking like a certainty now, after LOI runs and blown chances from his competition.

And here are some new lyrics to go with the tune, in celebration of Zimbabwe's inaugural Test win, 18 long years ago:...

Foreignfield, you are a true Polymath...in the space of a few days, you ave managed to show knowledge of Northern renaissance art as well as classic Calypso in addition to the knowledge of cricket we have all come to expect! :D

Masakadza scores a century. Zim 200-5. Waller helping rebuild on 32*. Williams (7) and Maruma (4) fail to make an impression. Taylor out lbw for 20.

Great century from Masakadza, Waller continuing to prove his doubters wrong (he must be player of the tour for us so far). A bit concerning that we aren't steamrolling this developmental side - Samuels and Roach aside.
My All-time Zimbabwe XI
Neil Johnson, Brendan Taylor, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), David Houghton, Sean Williams, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Paul Strang, Eddo Brandes, Blessing Muzarabani

Well, Mawoyo faced 15 overs. That is something. Hami a hundred, Waller plenty, Maruma should not play.

Let's see how the bowlers look tomorrow.

Strong showing By Masakadza there, but he always seems to do exceptionally well in inconsequential matches and struggle as soon as we get to the business end. Hope he can carry his form into the tests this time around. I won't complain if Tino produces 4 such knocks in the tests, and 2 out of our 3 big guns hang around with him and go on to get a big score each time. That would be just perfect :)

Ehm, well, thanks for the kindness ... :)

Masakadza runs himself out. Waller gets to 50.

Zim 255-8 dec.

Jarvis grabs an early wicket. 8-1.

Jarvis grabs another 23-2 at lunch

The underused Meth finally gets a bowl and seems economical enough 5 overs for 13 runs

Cremer gets the big wicket of samuels for 55 and immediately gets the next batsman blackwood out for a duck :D :D

Hmm. Sounding like Sagicor So-So Performance Centre, really.

Not that I mind seeing the team on the winning side. :D

Cremer gets his fourth wicket!!! :D

Try keeping him out of the test match now......bit of batting presence too

I am sure hhm will be saying don't read too much into this because if Cremer has taken four they must be a s**t side they are playing or the batsmen Cremer bowled at were the weak ones. The fact that Waller made 45 not out, will really have hhm saying we must be playing a weak side

You can only take wickets against whoever the opposition puts in front of you

Samuels is certainly no weakling.....cant speak about the rest, think the majority have first class experience

Looking like an attack of Mpofu, Jarvis, Cremer & Price + Hami as 5th bowling option from this performance.

Yes, and that's not a bad idea. Let's put the best foot forward...
