Panyangara was arrested after he shoplifted some meat in Athienities Spar at five avenue

Thats all I have unfortunately. Anyone with any details (shake up your sources) apparently all the players know about it. They wont talk about it cos it will reflect badly on them.

Journos are under a ZC paycheck, I think they get paid more than the players to keep quiet, Harare is a small place.

My heart sank when I heard this. Thats really really sad.
It certainly hightlights the hardship the players face when they have to resort to stealing basic essentials to survive. Again I ask why a player sponsorship program can not be set up for the fans all around the world to contribute to improving the Zimbabwean players living standards so they don't have to resort to such drastic measures and to help keep them in the game.....
If fans started sponsoring players directly then we would be enabling and subsidising the theiving looting swines who are running Zimbabwe Cricket.

Chingoka and Campbell have a lot to answer for. It seems like AC has joined in the plundering.

No need for fan support, ZC is given millions by the ICC each year and has sponsorship deals also.

Not I've tried it myself, but surely he had to have smoked pot to get the inspiration to believe he can pull off this kind of thing.

well here is the acoount of Panyangaras story;


It had become an everyday habit for him he would go to spar and get meat, eat in the shop and stuff the takeaway box in the shelves and leave the shop without paying on the fateful day he went to spar in the morning and took Gizzards from the take away section and ate in the shop and when he finished stashed the box in the shelves and left without paying not knowing he was being monitored by CCTV and when alarm was raised to check if he had paid he had already left the shop, so they ignored it and were now on high alert. In the evening he went and took Pork Chops and did the same thing and a guard was watching each and every move he made.... when he was about to step out of Spar he was apprehended and asked if he had paid for the food he ate and he denied eating any food and was arrested and was taken to the CCTV control room where he was shown footage of all his escapades. . . . he was then taken to the police post at Five Avenue and was later transferred to Harare Central Police Station and was locked up and i dont know who finally managed to rescue him.


After asking if he has any friends who can caution him;


generally he is Rude and arrogant and noone can tell him anything
