In all forms of cricket Coventry has passed 50 on only 31 occasions from 231 innings, let's put that against eveyones whipping boy Stuart Matsikenyeri, he's managed it 74 times from 454 innings, while at the top Brendan Taylor has 90 from 373, Vusi Sibanda 67 from 370 and Hamilton Masakadza, who beats them all, 106 from 416
Enough of that though, my biggest disappointment is that the highly promising Odicious M(h)anje has been ignored :shock: just what are these selectors thinking about :roll:
I do agree, the constant b***hing about Matsi is pathetic. He has proven his ability with the bat and in T20's seems to have the happy knack of coming in and playing a fast scoring little cameo to take the innings on.
Coventry asked the Tuskers captain at the start of the last franchise season if he could only play OD and T20 cricket and drop the 4 day format. Im not sure if this has played a part in the recent decisions.

I guess Matsi did perform above expectations in the recent T20 series, he at least got into double figures. I guess he didn't show up for the games with a hangover - unlike his antics in club cricket.

Givemore makoni is a joke he should be fired he has no cricketing history he makes ridiculous selections former players like ashley giles geoff boycott greg charpell clive loyd r selectors in their respective nations
Don't we all want to be selectors though? Not many of us have cricketing experience.

watched him play against NZ in Harare last year. he was just swinging his bat senselessly at every ball. am not surprised that he is not in the squad.in fact im glad. really hope he goes back to FC and concentrate on the basics.
As per my over view, Its a little strange but looks like the general thought seems to be that Ewing does not fit into T20 scheme of things. If you recall, he wasn't even considered as part of Tuskers squad for Stanbic T20s last time. Quite a strange thing though considering that he has a genuine attacking approach.
