An unsurprising result in the end. Brendan Taylor is our only worldclass player and this award is a reflection of that.

Ja, Taylor is already a Zim legend in limited overs cricket, but he still needs to work on his consistency in Tests. However, 2 centuries and 2 half centuries in 4 Tests ain't bad.

no offence to the powers that be but ive always thought this was a pointless thread, because if it wa true to the game Taylor would just get it every year for the last 5 and at least the next 2.

Its always there, as a sticky, and just gets on my nerves.

Just declare the Winner in advance and lets not clog the forum further.

Going entirely from memory, as I couldn't be arsed messing with search right now: three times run, first time Taylor's won it (Prosper and Rayzor being the others), so no, not "true to the game". Yeah, people could have probably done the sums and worked it out themselves by now, but I haven't been here for over a month, so there you go.

he stands out due to lack of any world class bats in the Zim side (himself included unfortunately) - though we have some good ones ... but in cricketing terms we have bowlers who do an equivalent job to Taylor.
