In September next year, the cricketing world converges in England to take part in the Champions League 50-over tournament.

Following the English excursion the Lankans were billed to take on Zimbabwe where they were to play them in a two-Test, three-ODI series.

However that tour has been replaced with the tri-nation series in the West Indies – the Indian pay off to the Caribbean for keeping the IPL window opened.

The tri-series will see the West Indies, India and Sri Lanka taking part.

This is disappointing. When is the next proposed international series for Zimbabwe?

How can all of these teams be ignoring the FTP? The number of tours building up will mean we will be due to play 6 test series against some teams by the time we get around to playing in 2027.

It's seriously pathetic, but on the other hand, who could blame sri lanka after seeing how we performed in the T20 series.
I guess way forward for the time being is arranging games with A sides regularly whilst we wait for a Test match in between.

The agreement means that after completing their tour of Australia, which includes three Tests, Sri Lanka have only four Test matches - two against Bangladesh and two against Zimbabwe - slated between January and December next year. A two-Test series against West Indies that would have potentially clashed with the 2013 IPL was scrapped last month

They should just officially strip us of test status then we know instead of beating around the bush...
