I know this is for ZC only but I wanted other people opinion on the shambolic performance of South Africa.
Apparently they now have to field 7 players of colour in the side, with three being black African.
Ngidi, Bavuma and Rabada are all there, yet both the Hendricks make the sides. Two of the most over rated cricketers and blatant quota selections ever.
You have Jannaman Malan and Kyle Verryene in the squad who can’t get a game, yet they have to select inferior players based on race.
I actually think this might be the end of a competitive South Africa cricket team. I don’t see how they can compete when they play cricketers like Hendricks and, because of politics, have to ignore guys like Coetzee, Muelder and Malan.

Googly knows the depth in South African cricket but I'll say it again, they will ALWAYS be competitive. They have oodles of talent in their wings, Stubbs being the latest injection.
Possibly one of the worst bowling line ups they've selected in a while though. Shamsi I've never rated and Andile is far from an international player.
You have Nortje on the sidelines, as well as Coetzee, who both bowl f***ing rockets. Gerald Coetzee is going to be a special special player. Just wait and see. I called right on Jansen, I'm right on this bloke. Googly again, is spot on with this kid. He's special and needs to have at least one game in this series so the world can see it.
Brevis is 19, he'll come good. For a kid of that age to have that much range and bat speed, it would be silly to suggest he's inferior to Stubbs. They're different builds and have very different techniques. Tristan Stubbs looks like a bit of a beast though. What a talent
Would have thought they would aim to replace Andile with another all rounder. With Ngidi Nortje and Rabada and Shamsi, I dont know if they`ll be able to bring on Jansen or Coetzee? Unless you think they can go with the 5 bowlers

Coetzee can really bat! With some focus on his batting he'd be an exceptional closer in T20.
I still think Brevis is a bit one dimensional. Sounds dumb because he's done well, but I don't think he'll get close to where Stubbs is going. You just can't do that to those England bowlers unless you're freakishly good.
Whilst I'm on the hero worship thing, Gleeson is something else as well. Looks like he chucks, but he is incredibly difficult to face.
Rilee Rousseau is a good inclusion. I'd actually pick him ahead of Markram every time if I had to, but there's Hendricks to sit out.

South Africa are trying to fill up their transformation numbers in this series. They usually pick bilateral T20s to do that and it makes sense.
Stubbs is some talent, I agree. RSA can have a beast of a side for T20 WC and also for next year's 50 over WC if they put aside their TTs.

Rilee Rousseau is one helluva player as well. That was a brilliant knock. They've also got Mulder who can play. Anyone who thinks Phelukwayo is a better all-rounder than Mulder and Coetzee is on bad heroin or has the standard agenda.
I've always been a Klaasen fan, but if he's not keeping and doesn't bowl he's keeping some really good players out of the side.

White, Indian, coloured, all at the same time and not at all.
Looking at Stubbs on Google, he has the niggalips and in some angles, an african facial structure but otherwise, fair complexion and pretty white.

Ya i think Stubbs doesn't fill the transformation guys but Proteas seem to have moved on, I have observed they are very much playing players on merit, except for a few dead rubbers.

I promise you that it will go in cycles. With WC's coming up and qualifiers to play there will be a truce, then once there's a bit of breathing space that s**t will start up again. It's a never ending struggle, trust me on that.
