In know we always remember the past being better than it really was but I still long for the Zimbabwean cricket team of the 90s. As much as I like the current crop of players they still don't appeal to me as much as the Flower brothers, Campbell, Houghton, Streak, Brandes, the Whittalls, the Rennie's. I guess those players are part of the first generation of international Zimbabwean cricketers which is what makes them special. Also, they were basically amateurs playing against professionals yet still held their own. Many of them still had farms that they ran or other jobs.
