Again, does the match go ahead? Can the Mountaineers take another big stride towards an unassailable points lead in the Logan Cup table?

Yes, getting his FC debut. Good move. Muzarawetu is back as well.

No Hamilton in this match, no Ervine for Tuskers. These two normally don't miss domestic cricket at all. Any national team camp ongoing?

Gumbie almost had a 50 ball duck

It would be a traversty if Cephas Zhuwao doesn;t get an international call up soon!

Great Eagles team here no chibhabha no Chigumbura making way for young Roche. Eagles should back themselves to get a good result here. They have a pretty good bowling line up. But they need runs on the board.

Zhuwao in go nick of late wonder how he will go in the short format stuff. But he is more likely to get a coaching gig then to feature in any Zim line up.

Game is being played at Takashinga. No cricket for Mutare???

Zhuwao's not international standard.

great to see Roche getting a gig , is chigumbura done now , I think so. hopefully Roche can show why he is our under 19 captain and gets a feel for the domestic scene.

Shingi should be looking to turn on such performance in the short format stuff could be real handy.

Especially as most of the bowling allrounder options don't have anything like this level of explosive capacity, eg, Cremer, Tiripano, Madziva, Chisoro.
ZCF Hall of Famer
wow..13 sixes! is that not some kind of record? aren't those the centuries Taibu was talking about?

Shingi is a competent batsman. don't remember how quick he is.. true servant of our domestic league.

Remember when we had Cremer, Meth and S Masakadza all in the Test team? One hell of a batting lineup.

I think there's a place in the Test team for a Tiripano/S Masakadza type. Someone who can keep it tight with the ball without being a genuine threat, but is capable of adding 50+ with the bat.

Plain and simple. Shingi and Mutombodzi should just make the next ODI squad.

Good start for Roche on debut. He even got Shingi at the end to finish with 32/3. Hope he gets a good score in the second dig.

Proteas under Shingi Threat

Bring On Steyn, Rabada, Morkel, Phillander anyone Shingi will put them out of the cleaners :D

Mark Olonga & Daniel Jakiel has such type of explosive quality.

Tiripano is the superior batter compared to Shingi, but Shingi is the vastly superior bowler capable of bowling genuine wicket taking deliveries at 135 clicks. Tiripano is a trundler who will only get wickets when batsmen get tired of scoring. Shingi is better overall cricketer.

Shingi hasn't really performed that well with the ball this season though, I very much doubt he can hit 135 consistently anymore. But that was a truly excellent innings with the bat, well done.

Like I said, Chatara, Panyangara and Shingi - across all formats -ahead of Jarvis, any day!

Goes to show just how much money was needlessly and unfairly wasted on Jarvis!

I'm interested to see your ODI XI(just yours though for now in case the floodgates dilute everything :D )
