:W: C Brent who has proved to be best coach in franchise level and developed players like chatara,s masahadza,D Tripano,T Mufudza,etc in mountaineers set up should replace hondo as bowling coach, who is currently in howzat academy
R Price the best spinner in Zimbabwe till date and played in IPL should be our spin bowling coach who has mentoring skills as well
W James who excellently managed tuskers franchise is has some man managing powers should be nominated as assistant coach to Dev whatmore
R Brown who is diplomatic coach should be nominated as mentor and strengthening coach were zimbabwe lack a lot
Especially Brent and Ray price who played with current crop of players will know thier mindset well
these additions of Robin brown,w james,c brent,R price will relieve some pressure of dev whatmore as head coach and Zimbabwe could cross those centimeters of wining habit in matches :arrow: :arrow: :arrow: :mrgreen:

It's been a joy to see our batting performances grow so well this year with Chamu, Willy, Ervine, Raza & Chiggy all averaging 40+, if we can get that sort of improvement out of our bowlers we would be a lower to mid ranked side.

I think the main problem is the (lack of) raw materials, rather than the coaching...

In not convinced our batting is there yet, I think they're doing well in batting friendly conditions ( WC, Pakistan & Harare) whilst our bowlers are really struggling in the same conditions .....
The India series had a few more 'tacky pitches' and our batting was poor and our bowlers took a lot more wickets considering Chatara and Panyangara didn't feature ......

You're in luck, I've got the numbers.
In general, almost all batting conditions around the world are very batting friendly. Part of it has to do with the ICC continuously loading the rules against the bowlers. It will be interesting to see if the new rules in favor of the bowling side restores the balance a bit. I predict it will.
Since the end of the 2015 World Cup, I have been tabulating Test and ODI stats [a) T20Is are too few in number and b) I don't personally rate the format] as part of a project to create a better ranking system than the official ICC Rankings, which have at least few major drawbacks, IMO. Part of that entails tabulating a "standardized batting/bowling rank" of all teams with Test/ODI status. It is essentially a relative index in which a value of 1 indicates that you are the median team (i.e middle of the pack, or average). For ODIs, it factors both a team's batting average and their average run rate, as both are markers of strength. Same for bowling. Zimbabwe's ranks are as follows:
Batting: 0.933
Bowling: 1.294
As you can see the batting is pretty decent, as predicted, since it is near the median value of 1 (although largely achieved against second string bowling attacks). The bowling is considerably poor as it is well above the median value of 1. The batting to bowling ratio is also significantly less than 1, which is a marker of overall competitiveness.

Those aforementioned Caucasians really know cricket. I don't think it's just a question of offering them money, I think their dislike of ZC after years of disillusionment and racism will mean we won't see them anytime soon.
