Opening post

Lets take 5 tests with open arms anyone whoever is tired can wave a white flag we have tonnes of peeps eager to play. Thats what being ready for test is all about. If our team, full of twenty year olds cant go 5 tests then we are far from where we think we are. If ZC refuse for whatever reason then the REAL REASON is that they are actually afraid of Bangladesh. Bangladesh have taken a tamim attitude and have dared Zimbabwe to the ultimate. I totally Love the idea! especially what others have mentioned about making it a 3 years or even every two years, it must come with a home and away.

Surely five tests would be prohibitive financially before any of the other issues are considered?

In isolation, a five test series would be financially prohibitive. However, if both teams can improve by playing five tests against each other that then means they can go on and compete with the non-minnow nations in more lucrative series. I wouldn't mind seeing how Zimbabwe fair against India in Zimbabwe.

Well you can make losses today if you can be sure of extra earnings tomorrow - but at some point they have to pay the bills.

And Zimbabwe Cricket has been making losses for awhile. Not sure what Bangladesh finances are like. I imagine their sponsorship deals are far more lucrative.
