Good question. Maybe a bowling coach would help ...

Sadly Muzhange seems to be completely out of the picture. In my reckoning Zim's best T20 yorker specialist.

Why don't they take more wickets?

Has Hami somehow been banned from bowling in home series?

Not much penetration in this bowling. It's a shame that Cremer has fallen out of favour in limited overs games.

are the boys going have a go at chasing this or just bat out to 120 -130 ??
ZCF Hall of Famer
180 is on the very edge of what this team is capable of chasing, I think.

I hope we aren't afraid of experimenting with the batting order. A pinch hitter like Vitori or S Masakadza at 2 or 3 down might not be the worst idea.

still no better sight than a Vusimuzi pull shot
ZCF Hall of Famer
vusi has got to learn to rotate the strike you cant let them bowl maidens
Maruma played again yet everytime he plays he ****s himself.

Good efforts by Hamilton, Williams, Waller and super from Chigs. But let down again by Vusi at the top. Who is worse with the reverse sweep premeditation? Taibu or Taylor? I think Taylor has overtaken Taibu now...

There's something about Zimbabwean wicket keepers and reverse sweeping isn't it?

I'm going to hold off on saying put it in the cupboard, because he can play it very well (in the BPL it was a really good asset for him). Maybe I'd say use it more sparingly... until he's got his eye in and has 15 or 20 on the board.
another shot Taylor shld drop is the lofted drive.he gets out at least once a series playing it. it looks good when he pulls it off though

U can't play T20 without a lofted drive, it's the standard shot. He leans back and doesn't get his weight thru the shot. The trick is to learn not to premeditate a reverse. U can learn this in the nets with throwdowns. U give the batter on the stumps that he has to drive and then outside off that he has to reverse. If u do it enuf (hundreds) he will stop premeditating. Take it a step further and give it on a length outside off that he drives and then pitched up that he can get to the bounce and reverse. U learn what length and line u are comfortable with to reverse and wait for this ball.

Overly simplistic explanation but with many hours u can reduce the number of times u premeditate, because as soon as u do it becomes 50/50.

Well at the moment Williams and BRMT keep getting out playing the reverse sweep so maybe they should practice it more it the nets and not play it in the middle until they have mastered it .....

I'd much rather watch BRMT get out playing a lofted drive than the reverse sweep .....

Telling Taylor to shelve his lofted drive is like telling Vusi to stop pulling.

I had to leave home after Vusi's dismissal yesterday and never thouhgt we'd get as many as we did. The one positive thing is that a few guys are showing some form with the bat. With the squad we have we desperately needed Waller to score a few after his nightmares against India.

T20 yes,but not in odis and tests like he does. i think what zim batsmen need to learn is to keep it simple. you can win a match with 4s and singles. and that goes for Vusi as well. There nothing wrong with playing the pull. He just needs to learn to keep it on the ground
