Karachi – Pakistan are considering Zimbabwe as one of several options to host the home series against Sri Lanka later this year, a cricket official said Friday.

...

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) spokesman Nadeem Sarwar said Zimbabwe could be an option.

“Yes, we are considering the option of playing Sri Lanka in Zimbabwe, where we can make a profit because of low costs there,” Sarwar told AFP.

PCB said last month that it was still exploring the possibility of staging the series in Sri Lanka and the UAE.

You would think UAE and Sri Lanka would be the frontrunners, but who knows. If ZC and PCB can agree on the right price... not to mention the added benefit of a few tour matches against local sides.

The tour matches would be an excellent idea, hope it happens. So its scenarios like this that will work for the VF Stadium.

Its good the local sides will be benefiting from practice games, i would hope we also cash in financially with this sort of arrangement as a neutral host.
