A one man battle going on here as Rocks have reached 164-4 after 37 overs
Richmond Mutumbami has made a List A best 88* from 70 balls and has currently put on an unbeaten 83 with Alester 'The Limpet' Maregwede, 20* from 56, runrate needed is now up to 7.76 though
I wonder if Mutumbami could be a name to look out for in the future, he seems to be making good progress and may just be an outsider for future national honours

My thoughts excatly man I just dug up that point in one of my posts!!! But with all due respect the list of batsmen who should be considered ahead of him for Tests is endless(Duffin, Ewing, Matsi, Vermeulen, Forster, Waller etc). His best chance is if he's keeping wicket regularly, which doesn't appear to be the case unless Alester&Taibu make way for him in FC. Taibu doesn't need the practice best keeper in the world for me!!! Chakabva is off form so Richard could get in that way because the coaches don't seem to have much confidence in Coventry, Forster and Taylor in Taibu's absence.

If Staddon is not careful, Querl might keep him out of the team. Under the circumstances, Ewing used him for far too long. The bowlers who were doing well would have closed out the game by simply completing their full quotas earlier instead of turning to Staddon for some of the overs! Ncube and Querl were left out till late when he should have persisted bowling them much earlier, and we would have bowled them out by the 42nd over! It's more a case of underestimating the abilities of the opposition and letting your guard down, as opposed to them creating a victory for themselves. They must have gone at close 9 per over in the last 10 - how else is that possible!! Anyway, despite the loss, I can at least I can take comfort in knowing that at full strength we can hammer any Zim team, excluding our picks, all year round!!
Horton, Duffin, Ewing, Wheater, Craig, Coventry, Dabengwa, Meth, Querl, Ncube, Mpofu
