Mashonaland Eagles collapse terribly at Queens, confirming the widely held belief that they're a rag tag bunch of cricketers; but to be fair three chief batsmen are missing today: Mtizwa, Matsikenyeri and Chakabva (I long since ceased viewing Elton Chigumbura as being anything close to one).

Latest scores Eagles 144 all out in 46.2 overs: Trevor Garwe 40. Gavin Ewing 3-8; Tawanda Mpariwa 3-32

Quite why wickets are flying in the normally pliant Queens Sports Club I don't know; but the home team Tuskers are currently 99 for 5 in reply to Mashonaland Eagles' low total of 144. Tuskers remain firm favourites, of course, but another 20 odd runs would have spectacularly set the cat amongst the pigeons here...

3 List A matches have been played at Queens in the Pro50 competition so far. Each time, the side batting first has barely struggled to put put something competitive on the board, and lost each time at this ground. This match being the fourth is no different.

The Logan Cup is no different, because low scoring 1st&2nd innings from both sides, feature there too.

Queens is proving to be a very difficult pitch to score in lately, for the team batting first at least. Maybe the curator is trying to change things around. Instructions from above? The only high scoring match was the 1st match played there this season, between the heavyweights - Rhinos vs Tuskers! Probably that game, as well as the 1st innings of the Zim-Pak&Zim-NZ tests, must've instigated those instructions!

Tip: For the Pro50, win the toss, put the opposition in to bat (it worked even for the Rocks!)! And all the while I thought that was a characteristic of HSC! :?

I see Chopper(& the fast improving Chari), quockly finished off the match as I was typing this!

No chance of making the final, but we can thump the Rhinos in our next match to ease the pain! :D :D
