I can assure you ZC will not pick these guys ahead of the likes Mutumbami, Kasuza & LTGM. They play for teams which reflect the progress and objectives of Zimbabwe Cricket(something Namibia appreciates). As it stands the Tuskers are killing these players because there will be an agenda against selecting them ahead of players in other franchises!

Slowly scatching the surface... problem with most peeps on this forum is that they have a romantic idea of how they wish ZC would work and they use that to defend actions by ZC over inclusions and exclusions.

They are, Mupariwa had to run for his life, if Mpofu is only coming in second change there was no hope for him there?

Mupriwa wasn't getting a game, and Mpofu has been consistently outbowled by Querl and Meth in FC cricket. Sure the new ball may have given these guys some advantage, but not enough to justify the wide gap in their success. Frankly, Mpofu's lack of penetration in Logan Cup cricket is becomming a worry. He is probably Zim's most experienced seamer, and continues to be looked on favourably by selectors, so you would expect him to be winning a few more games for the Tuskers. That said, his performances have remained solid in OD cricket.
Hamilton gets his 17th First-Class ton, playing in his 100th game. Hats off, what a player

And he moves past Campbell on the FC runscorers list.

Well done Hamilton. Now go on and make it a big one.

The only chink in the Tuskers' armour seems to be the lack of a frontline spinner. The dearth of spin-bowling options at Worcs mean that Moeen Ali is used to quite a heavy workload for a part-timer, but that's really all he is. Williams hasn't turned his arm over in the second innings -- injury or caution?

Ask and you shall recieve. 150 up! This is class. I don't think that Tuskers did themselves any favours by not playing a frontline spinner at Queens (do they even have one anyway?) Earlier reports said that the pitch was "lively" (via @bayhaus) - not sure if this is the same Queen's that I know. I remeber reading an article which quoted Ray Price: "There are a lot of seamers burried at Queens"

And Hami passes Taibu as well. Will he be first black Zim player to 10000?

It still feels a bit like he is off injured or something. It will hit home a bit more when we finally play some more games.

The pitch might have been "lively" on the first morning, but I guess it's flattened out considerably since. A sporting declaration by Tino, the Tuskers need 250 at lunch with all ten wickets intact.

On the question of spinners: There's Dabengwa, but I wouldn't call him a frontline spinner even by Logan cup standards (Price, Cremer, Mutombozi, Mushangwe, Mugava ...), and there's young Mamhyio of whom I really don't know anything other that even when he's been selected in the past he's not been given the ball for extended spells.

Meanwhile at HSC we've got a game after some negotiations and the usual buffet bowling on such an occasion. With the Eagles five wickets down at lunch Rocks are -- really -- on the verge of winning a match!

With the weak Eagles team, [insert conspiracy theory here] and the contrived declarations, there will be question marks, but c'mon Rocks anyway.

Well, giving credit where it is due. When someone performs, they must be praised. A very good match for Panyangara in this case. And of course, singling out these three (Chakabva, Panyangara and Chari) as the other more celebrated fellows are praised often, and are expected to do well at this level anyway (read Williams, Hamilton Masakadza, Chibhabha). So, these were clearly the ones who stood out in these two matches.

A bit concerned about lack of wickets for Meth and Mpofu though...

True(if he's not injured)! Maybe have Makoni and Mutendera go up there in place of Staddon etc, and shake up things! Wasting time and money on Ali & Sean Ervine. Just like Streak and the Rennies - maybe even more so, Dabengwa is a true Mat'land legend, he deserves better than this! I intend to catch a game down there, down a few and give them a piece of my mind - assuming the wife will let me go across the Limpopo briefly...

Look forward to hearing you say "hand him the red shirt"! ;)

Maybe Meth will do better without captaincy, and Mpofu can share the new ball with chucking candidate Querl...
