The windies off to a good start hopefully our spinners can peg them back .....

Zim 22/4 after 10, according to the ICC's page for the match. Think we can rule out a win here, then.

Not great today, saw some of the West Indies South Africa match on Friday and thought that the Windies pacemen would be just to quick for our youngsters to handle.

One more shot then against SA!!

Yes, that was to be expected, sadly.

Btw, if Shiv hangs around a bit longer we could see a father-son combo for the Windies soon.

Spectacularly unsuccessful attempt at circumventing the rules. I can't figure what's worse- to field over age players and win or to lose? This is an important tournament and this is amateur hour.

From my investigations, it seems impossible that ZC could blatantly break the rules without the ICC noticing. The ICC require a lot of documentation before squads are approved.

Wouldn't that be one of the most lovely moments in Cricket?

If I were the WI selector, knowing how brittle the top order has been over the years, just for the novelty and feel good factor, I would pick Tagenarine for the next test series along with his dad. A good showing at the U-19 wouldn't hurt for sure...
I'm sure I read somewhere that Shiv and his son have played first class cricket together

Yes they have. The last pair to do that before them were Denis and Heath Streak: http://zimcricketforums.com/viewtopic.p ... 245#p51217
