You would bowl Malcolm ahead of Mutombodzi, Dabengwa and Lamb? I'd rather call Gavin Ewing or Doug Marillier out of retirement or even coax Dirk Viljoen from the commentary box before that route. At least they all looked like proper spinners and bowl better.

I'm still shocked Malcolm passed the Test at first attempt while a guy like Hafeez has been called a number of times since. I think Malcolm was passed because they didn't think ZC would still be stupid enough to pick him and bowl him in an international or Domestic cricket. More a case of just operate as a batsman, or go and play club cricket in the UK or somewhere and make a living if you want to bowl type of thing.

This is only semi-pro. Let's wait and see first if he bowls in the Logan Cup or Pro50.

Yes I would bowl Malcolm before any of those guys, Tino is bowling terrible now and seems like he is focussing on batting. His 1 over for 19 in the match we lost looks like the killer

Over which cost us considering all the other guys kept it tight ......

You talk about regenerating the side with young players and you keep calling for Dabengwa :D Keith is like ur other mate Maruma, bullies the local bowlers but could never convert in the international stage .......

The idea to bring in some new players isn't the worse idea I really think we need some young guys with a little pace like Mumba or Musoko but I wouldn't change the whole side then we would be 'rebuilding again'. The side is competing well in just about all the matches and pushing good teams so I don't we need mass changes. I think having more fringe players pushing for selection making competition for spots and more cricket can help the guys progress ......

Shocked to see 22 year old Kevin Ksuza looking like Samit Patel. Now we know why his batting went downhill. He's unfit. At this rate, he will easily surpass Tino Mawoyo on the scale. At least Mawoyo has his commentary to fall back on.

As long as Prosper is in the side, pretty much anyone is allowed to bowl. His bowling is intermediate school stuff.
My All-time Zimbabwe XI
Neil Johnson, Brendan Taylor, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), David Houghton, Sean Williams, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Paul Strang, Eddo Brandes, Blessing Muzarabani

Except of course Prosper has on average outbowled all the the bowlers in the side in some matches since his action was refined. You should be directing your ire at them not Prosper.

WHat exactly is progress? How do you define it? Do you also subscribe to the Kevin Curran school of though? From where I'm standing progress in these parts amounts to a warm feeling in one's pants.

I don't think anyone would be resisting if the talk centred around Burl, Welch, Price, Nathan etc as making up the personnel for the mass changes. Psychologically it's much harder to accept because the players beign touted are the likes of Kaia, Mutombodzi, Jongwe, Musoko etc.

Guys need to get round to accepting that it's not an accident in the Logan Cup when a Musoko or Chimhamhiwa outbowls the incumbents, or when Mutombodzi and Kaia outbat them. They need a sustained chance and it's long overdue now. Zim will lose stars as has happened to Simon Mugava. That boy should have replaced Utseya. Same applies with Cremer and Mushangwe.

Bangladesh rotated several spinners. If Enamul Haque Jnr, Razzak Alok Kapali were Zimbabwean they would have never been dropped.

Richard Sims, Barney Rogers, Gavin Ewing, Greg Strydom & Dirk Viljoen made their debuts in that condition. Craig Wishart managed to have an entire in that contition career too. Alister Campbell wasn't exactly ripped either. Only Ewing (by Houghton) and later Mawoyo were ever called out publicly for their weight. I think Butcher did regarding Taylor but it was in a positive light, while those two were embarassed.

Zim has a pathetic record when it comes to fitness. But still that's no excuse Kasuza needs to shape up.

Mawoyo had an embarassing axchange with Rhino during commentary. I don't understand why he let himself get to that point. He never learned from criticism all those years back!
