If you're going to choose someone who can clobber a few balls for a quick 25 runs, I'd rather chose Vitori, who can bowl (sort of) or even Kasuza. Zhuwao has rarely gone beyond a couple of sixes then out.

I should assume action permitting Vitori will get picked for his bowling and so his batting is a bonus anyway. Not as a specialist batsmen.

In terms of T20 players Zhuwao should be the second player on the team sheet. Mayor has the tools to suceed in the format and its a shame that he is constantly being prevented from the highs of International cricket.I would never dare pick Vusi, Ervine , Chamu or even Williams ahead of the cleanest hitters of the ball in Zimbabwe if not the world. He may rub his team mates at time the wrong way but he has the hard cricket skills needed to succeed give him his chance. As for this deluded thought that Vitori can bat is a big joke 😂 😂 😂 😂 He like Chats are sloggers who have great hand eye coordination but standard school cricket technique and they should not be considered or even thought of as batsman.

As for the kids im seriously worried about the limited opportunities being given to players under the age of 23 in this competiotion. This format of the game needs youngsters who are fit and energetic and its the easiest format in my opinion to blood them into a squad for the future. The exposure at a high level event with national team players in a world cup year i feel that we wont have prepared our kids enough for the passing of the torch as the Hammi generation bows out of international cricket.

Last out Kasuza was badly out of shape for a sportsman has he worked on his weight? seriously hope Chitara is back we badly miss his bowling. Muzhange has been doing well he deserves a look in.

What's the word on Panyangarara and Chigumbura.

I'm not a fan of taking risks but I'm just saying everybody on this forum been talking about a wildcard. Zhuwao might be inconsistent but he can hit the ball a long way. we only discovered Waller was a clean hitter in November. Ervine is never going to prosper in this format. that's the honest truth. Rather we give his spot to someone with a reputation even in the UK club scene.

Well I've been singing The Rock aka the Mayor aka Cephas' praises for a while (partly in jest to provide some antidote to the other prevailing manias around), and now I think it's finally the time to throw him in. This world cup is all about getting out of the group stages, and the last time the Dutch made it on the back of an almighty slogging heist by a batsman of no great cultivation either.

Willow could float up or down the order according to the match situation. For those who hate the idea of Murray, hand PJ the gloves and slot someone else in the middle order.

Elton needs to score some runs, if he wants his place back. Panyangara needs to show some commitment to the fitness side of his job. If Chatara is back to 90 % I'd bring him back, but that one is impossible to call from where I am.
Tiripano, Muzhange, Wellington and Chatara( maybe) should be considered in the final 15. We still don't have big hitters, only Hami and Waller look good at the moment. Williams can play well against the spinners,Mutumbami is just doing OK in the shorter format and Raza can hit some sixes. The idea of Cephas sounds good to me too. Chibabha and Vusi can fit in the starting XI, but the spot of Craig is in great danger. I think he won't be picked based on his current performances. We should take chisoro and Neville too. Jongwe would get hammered against the top teams, so we better leave him along with Chigumbura. Our spin bowling strength looks good, the combination of Cremer/Williams/Chisoro/Raza can create real problems to the opponents. We just need to select few good hitting batsmen and we would be in good shape

If our key players like Hami, Waller, Raza and Willy are scoring consistently we could take a gamble on someone like Zhuwao or Chapungu but at this point I think Dav will go with a safe option like Chamu or Vusi to open .....

It must have been frustrating for the Mountaineers to lose in the final that too in the super over after bossing the entire tournament. The unfortunate part was it was mostly Hamilton vs the other teams as far as batting was concerned so it was a matter of time that his efforts were proved not enough.
