Zim players dont need 5000 per test, they could do with 1500, as long as it was paid along with their contracts, 800 per ODI and T20 and some contract money. They could cope on 30000 a year if it was coming in, and it should be. A wage bill of half a million including some for franchise players is fine, just a couple of million over the four year cycle. The problem is that the execs think the cash belongs to them and waste it accordingly then borrow to fund the game and now dont even have enough to pay the interest.
Eugene may be right. The players need to stick together and ZC goes bankrupt with an ICC takeover. Then the books and admin need to be sorted to a reasonable level.

I see in some interviews the players are saying they're sticking together but trust me if push comes to shove some will fold when they realise they're not getting anywhere and all of a sudden they need to find new jobs....
Players like BRMT, Williams and maybe Cremer and Chigs could get county deals but the rest will be left to search for club contrats around the world and I don't think there is a lot of money in that. When guys like Utseya and Maruma realise its back to village they will go running back with their tails behind their legs begging for what ever the board is willing to give them......

Just read on BanglaCricket that Chigs and Coventry are on the list for the Dhaka Premier League this season. While not as lucrative as the BPL, the DPL contracts are still substantial and the franchises actually honor their contracts. The BCB has also upgraded the DPL to List A status from this season. Rumor has it Yuvraj Singh will be playing for the Brothers Union franchise! I'll bet Taylor should get a contract as well.
