Mumba is the next big thing in the bowling dept.. He's slightly quicker than Matigimu but has control and is super fit... Tiripano, Chinouya are not even the quicker bowlers in Zimbabwe yet they find themselves ahead of most in Test.. At least Makhaya won't last long as the interim head coach.. Plans to dispose him are being made..

Our current bowlers are mostly overweight and talentless. Piet Rinke would do a better job opening the bowling.

How come all our bolwers are bolwing a maximum speed of about 128ks and non of them are hardly swinging the ball? Is this a man power issue or is it a coaching strategy Line and length ?

I can only speak for myself I went into a indoor cricket centre and i bolwed a few overs and i clocked at the speed gun 130ks as my average speed and i was a bit tired after my spell ,but i belive with a bit more practice and fitness i can crank it up to 135-140.

So back to my issue why are all our bolwers bolwing low speed

Manpower issue?

Coaching issue?

How fast are club level bowlers in countries like England and Australia? Are they really slower than 130 k? Cuz even rank associates like USA, Canada, Nepal have bowlers who can bowl 130 k. Then again it must still be pretty rare to bowl 130 cuz in the whole of India there are maybe only a dozen guys who can clock 140+.

I think we need an academy and a High Performance Centre. Most First Class cricketers in Zim can't afford transport money let alone a proper diet and gym membership and supplements etc. How do we find 135+ bowlers when we can't look after the few we have? You have guys earning $200-400 in First class cricket for 7 months and then the other 5 months they must fend for themselves.. Only the guys on Central contracts and those on HPC contracts are sitting pretty.. That players committee only looked after themselves and didn't care about their peers playing First Class cricket.. It's sad.

How do we justify having test status against someone like Ireland when our "professional" cricketers are dying of starvation?

Can't we get sponsorship from World Health Organization or UNESCO?

Maybe if we offer the winning team a hamburger to fight over we can find 200kph bowlers?

We must test the hunger theory by releasing a tsuro (rabbit) during one of the upcoming games and see if our fielders give chase. The problem is they won't work together to catch it. The fat guys will let the thin guys do the chasing and then use their weight to take the nyama away from them. It's life in Zim, the corrupt guys weigh over 80kg.
