I would love to see footage from Zimbabwe's first ever text match and first ever test match victory. Presumably those matches were televised?

I knew it Henry Olonga is full of CRAP!!!

Watch the last ball of the match and then read this quote in his autobiography (Page 106)
This is no mistake, its a blatent lie!! you can clearly see that Olonga is fielding at either fine leg of square leg for the left hander and the ball goes to deep extra cover, its a lie full stop. Never been an Olonga fan as i feel he makes everything about himself and this is just another example of it!!

they ended up needing three runs of the final ball to win. I have to admit that i miscalculated (i thought they needed four runs to win) so when the ball came to me I was perhaps a bit more relaxed in fielding the ball than i might of otherwise been. I quite casually threw it into our wicketkeeper as the England players attempted to score the winning run and we ran out Nick Knight for 96. It was fortunate that i had kept my wits about me

Good catch there! Goodness me, why would he be so idiotic to write such a thing knowing well that there could be video evidence of what happened? Crazy. Looking at the left handed throw, it looked like Bryan Strang who fielded the ball (or was it Carlisle?). Yes, it was definitely an attempt to make his write up more spicy. That obviously means credibility of all those things he has said and written would be in question now.
By the way, here's that "We flippin murdered 'em" look: :)

John Ward seems to think it was Bryan Strang who fielded the ball.

I can't imagine he would purposefully lie about it; why would he? He must have just remembered the sequence of events wrong :?
