Utseya's bowling resembles boozers league stuff where guys are just trying to get the ball up the other end somewhat on target.
My All-time Zimbabwe XI

Talk about a letdown from the first ODI. Zimbabwe always get worse as a series continues. The first match is always our best (only) shot at a win.

In all seriousness, Utseya's bowling would barely get in my club's 3rd XI. It must be awkward for the other players who have to play along side him as well, after what he wrote, especially the whites....
Well done to Raza. Never expected him to be a very good batsman, but looks like Raza, Ervine, and even Chigs are maturing. Throw in Williams who hasn't done s**t since the WC but is probably the most talented of the lot, and ZIM have a pretty solid top 5. Thats where it starts. Cremer has bowled fairly well too, so all you need is Chatara back and Musoko in and even the bowling will be notches better than the crap it has been lately.
Bangladesh cricket fanatic, observer of all others.
I felt Chigs made poor bowling changes, Bobby and Tinashe were doing well then he brought on Willy and all the pressure was lost, also Elliot looked very dangerous so why wasn't Chamu bowled ??
If they won't gonna change a winning team why change the formula by batting first. That wasn't a smart decision. But talk about being brought back down to earth. Totally out classed. But good to see our batting seems to be getting better with different guys carrying the day. Good on you Raza. And Chibhabha is fast becoming the single consistent performer we have.
Our bowling is in all sorts. Utseya should just give it up.
What appears to have happened under Whatmore is all our batsman have gone up a notch.
I havent seen side by side stats but i assume they are dramatic.
Williams,Ervine, Taylor, Raza and especially Chibhabha have shown dramatic improvement.
Hammy is about the same, but with the improvement of the above is becoming an also ran of the team, when a year ago we were thinking he could be our best.
Our batting is getting us to some level of competition whilst our bowling is absurdly weak.
The only bowlers anywhere close to being decent going forward are Chatara and Cremer.
The rest are barely serviceable - Panyangara, Vitori, Shingi, Nyumbu, Tiripano, Mpofu - they just aren't going to threaten international players, even associate players aren't intimidated by these guys.
We need to explore the younger guys to get an attack that has Chatara, Cremer, one of the support guys, and a Mumba or someone to see if we can find a new player of quality backed up by the Williams/Raza/Hami/Chamu lot.
I reckon our batsman's stats are pretty remarkable they should be averaging in the 40s. But with Zim it's always been the case. If we get it right in one department the other department doesn't do so well. When do we expect Chitara to be fit.
I think the pitch always plays a part, look at the India series our bowling was pretty good we had indianin trouble in all 3 matches but apart from the first game our batting flopped .....
In this series our batting is doing well but we can barely take a wicket ......
In the end of the day we're missing a few world class players to make the difference .....
