I can’t believe they have given the ball to Muzarabani again after his last display this is atrocious to say the least,he is not ready for international cricket.

To be fair, he hasn't bowled badly. He didn't began well though and that's what ruined his bowling figures.

I'm actually surprised by the control he has shown in the last two matches (although I haven't watched every spell). It seems that he is concentrating on his control and not overstepping for now.

...

He even has a yorker :)

I just don't understand why Raza is still bowling. Cremer needs to be on now, there's no point saving himself for the final few overs because the game is not going to last that long.

For a kid playing in his third List A match ever he's doing more than okay, I'd say. If they can sort out his run-up and he let's himself go a bit more he'll be a handful for sure.

This took me by surprise too! He's finished well today, 28 runs off his last seven overs, and three crucial wickets as well.

Yeah, I was wrong earlier to judge him on those first few overs. He's shown quite a bit as the innings has progressed. 3/52 are ODI bowling figures you'd take every day of the week.

Yeah, I love this guy. He can be a star with proper guidance. He is, at the very least, better than Ngarava, whom we also tried out mostly unsuccessfully.

😂

Sarcasm aside,

It’s a huge symbolic moment when the diaspora returns.

The best message to sound to a youngster, if two successful county c**ts return, then my home is a place I can make a future!

Aaaaand even if you are fully aware that good money was offered, you can still ascertain that;

A) there’s money and opportunity in playing for zim

B) that even our best want to play for us

C) no place like home

D) money or not, they still chose to come here and saw a future in red colours

Much rather have an opening bowling attack of Chatara and Jarvis instead of the rubbish we have seen since the 2015 world cup.
Look we avoided giving them a bonus point. That's a positive. The PJ Moor runout was the killer for us in my opinion, followed by BT not going on with it.

Yeah, if this had been a 240 target it would have been very interesting. Another 20 from BT and a 20 from PJ and there it is.

Oh well, as you say at least we didn't give the bonus point. Just have to hope that BD smashes SL again.

We are still ahead on NRR. If BD win against us with a lesser margin compared to SL, we are through. If we want to surprise BD in our last league match, then that's a different story.

I think that's a pretty compelling reason to bat second if we win the toss in the next game. Even if we can't win, if we know the target we can limit the NRR damage I guess.
No way Zimbabwe should bat second because it could lead to them losing by a heavy margin like SL

Make a low score batting first and BD will just come out swinging so they can go home early.

I guess the idea is just try not to get smashed either way 😂

Need to play Mpofu slowers, cutters, pace change works more in slow & sticky surface of Bangladesh. Craig Ervine out, Ryan Murray should be in.

Ok, so at the risk of being labelled too negative, are we just going to ignore the same mistakes and errors that come up, even when we win?

It's the simple things that we keep doing that lead to the same results. Not playing with a straight bat. No foot movement (stretching for the ball). Lazy running.

Our fielding is still quite below the standards we once were. Our bowling lines could improve as well.

There are signs of positivity, but it just seems like we keep making the same errors, and we are getting left behind big time especially by teams like Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

Zimbabwean fielding has been mediocre for quite some time now. I don't really know how we let fielding standards slip so much, it was the one thing we, along with New Zealand and South Africa used to lead the way in. Admittedly everyone can field pretty well these days, but Zimbabwe should not be near the bottom in fielding ability.
My All-time Zimbabwe XI
Neil Johnson, Brendan Taylor, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), David Houghton, Sean Williams, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Paul Strang, Eddo Brandes, Blessing Muzarabani

Average bowling today from Jarvis and Muzarabani.Jarvis looks very ordinary at the moment,Club bowler at best.

What game were u watching ??

Thought we bowled well without luck could easily of had a few early wickets and Cremer probably should have had 2 slips for Thisara's first 5 balls.

The Moor run-out was the big play for me, another 30-40 runs could really have made this game interesting.

I still think our batting is too hit and miss to play 3 out and out No.11's. We really need to put some effort into getting Jongwe or Mashinge into the ODI side IMO

The decision to only take 1 back up batsman has backfired big time, we have zero options apart from Murray who is highly un-likely to make an impact with the bat against BD in BD.

The idea of having Murray in the side also makes BT field so we have another big and slow fielder to go with Hami, Ervine, Moor, Chatara and Blessing.

Can we bring Vusi as a professional sub fielder ?
