If vusi scored at a run a ball yesterday we could have won!
23 from 33 is way to slow for t20 if he batted like hami we would have won. I feel he only gets selected in this format for match practice for the odi and tests coming up since there's no warm up games.
personally I think raza or chamu r much better options for t20.
Only other change would be mutombodzi for maruma.
Other than that there r a fair few positives to come out of this series! we can definitely win the odi's.

Defiantly too slow ..... I've started a thread about picking a specialist t20 team players like Raza, Utseya, Chigs, Mpofu, Muzanghe and Mupariwa are perfect ally suited to t20 where guys like Maruma, Vusi, Vitori and the recently departed KJ are not

No, he's a good player with great skills, he got bogged down in those two overs. He is also a bit unlucky, it counts for a lot.
We have no one else close to his caliber, that's the truth of it.
Raza has some self belief, which counts for a lot, but is nowhere close to Sibanda in terms of ability

Our best 4 are our best 4 - there are no options for Hami, Vusi, Taylor and Williams. No others in their class.

ShareI understand theres no doubt his in the top four best batsman in the country! But t20 is not all about class it's more about strike rates! You don't see Michael Clarke in the Australian t20 team do you! And his got more class than any other aus batter. Taylor hami and willi provide all the class we need for t20 than with chigumbura Waller and raza that gives you a good blend of class and hitters.

I have no problem with one anchor at the top of the innings, someone needs to score runs without the expectation of scoring ten an over. Zimbabwe's problem is that we have multiple anchors, some of which don't even score runs. At least Vusi is getting some runs on the board.

Raza ahead of Maruma, for sure, not so sure of putting him ahead of Vusi.
Clarke isn't in the team cause Aussies have the luxury of depth. We would probably squeeze him into the current Zim T20 side. Still is Coventry available cause he is worth a go alongside Hami at the top.

Your right Zimbabwe has too many anchor's but Vusi can be explosiveat so Im not sure why he doesnt just go for it in t20's .....
I think he has been criticised before for being too aggresive in t20's ... didnt think you could be too aggresive in t20's especially when opening the batting .....
Honestly both his innings killed us even if he were going at a run a ball or striking at 110.0 we would have been a chance ......
