CSA have offered Zimbabwe a 1 Test series. Whether it's a warm up for the Australian tour or a gesture with an eye towards the ICC boardroom, it doesn't matter.
It would be fantastic if the series went ahead, but obviously it is a tricky situation because of the player strike. From the players perspective, it might be their only real match practice before the ICC World Twenty20 - is it something worth doing anyway, even if it's for free? Surely a South Africa vs Zimbabwe Test match would be quite prestigious for the players?

How is this going to happen the boys arent training or playing .....
Who is going to foot the bills for the guys to play this series or the outstanding fees which have caused this whole strike .....
Would Zimbabwe profit financially at all from a 1 test series against South Africa ???
Plus we would get hammered the Saffers are battle hardened after series against Pakistan and India and are preparing for a tough series against Australia, on the other hand our guys havent played or trained for months this would be very ugly indeed .....
We'd be better off taking some cash from them to pay some of these player fees so at least the domestic season can start again ...

Look i want to see us playing as much as the next zimbo but i dont want a massive thrashing in this match to put others off touring in the future.
Could be the two boards working together thinking itll help the strike come to an end...thinking that no player would turn down this chance despite not having beind paid.
Playing against other nations, especially african, is what always makes it special!!
Im so torn but ultimately wud love to see it happen

The score line has potential to be very very ugly I think for now 5 t20's woul be more beneficial for the up coming t20 WC and we can play tests later in the year .....

Zimbabwe also had to turn down an offer to play a one-off Test in South Africa because of the financial problems and subsequent refusal of players to take the field.
