Opening post

OK so things are looking pretty much at an all time love for zimcrickettragics, comprehensively beaten by Afhganistan, split captaincy(Elton?Really?) psycho coach and window dressing corporate changes - its almost enough to shatter the denial and indestructable optimism that has us clutching at any straw we can. Never mind all that because there's always a silver lining...

that's right comrades - we can now proudly boast that Zim has the most entertaining cricinfo commentator.

No idea who he/she is but was certainly entertained while following the abysmal game yesterday.

Some highlights....

Strange and slightly ominous prophetic musings..

"I don't really think that they should be trying to hit everything they way they do because I No the next over the young man Donald Thinks and they maybe in trouble the afghan."

Clearly the Young man is a favorite

"6.6 Panyangara to Gulbadin Naib, no run, I just think they should try too much for the young man Donald loves it when you attack him.

7.1 Tiripano to Usman Ghani, OUT, My God, there you go the young man is at it again."

Great typos..(cowpats perhaps?)

"hmmmm getting a bit ambitious there Panyangara puts one into the pats and is flick away off the hip for a boundary"

and

"well forks that's the end of Shafiqullah's innings and what an entertaining one too. caught by BT of a top edge to short 3rd man."

Dodgy innuendo's

"Panyangara to Sharafuddin Ashraf, no run, Good balling from Panyangara."

And of course, completely unbiased..

"Good cricket from the Afghan and great batting from Richmond Mutumbami and Tymcen Maruma to take Zimbabwe to at least a good score"

😂

100 % agree - the commentary was definitely a silver lining. Cricinfo commentary is usually very dry. Here we're getting the Castle-corner tinted version of events! Hell, we need to get someone to cheer us up.
