Opening post

Anyone remember Kuala Lumpur 1998 when cricket was a Commonwealth Games sport? Back then it was 50-over cricket. The Commonwealth Games are apparently keen to cricket back in, perhaps in time for Gold Coast 2018, although I imagine it would be T20. Of course Zimbabwe are no longer a member of the Commonwealth so I guess it would be another missed opportunity for us.

they could be back in by 2018 if anything ever goes right there

If the BCCI is against cricket in Olympics, why would they support having it in Commonwealth Games?

You are assuming the BCCI use logic and reason in their decision making here.

Doubt if it will happen although I wish it would. Just look at this time, the two boards would be missing out on a major money-spinner (Eng v Ind) if they had to traipse up to Glasgow instead.
