Fast bowler, Brighton Watambwa, who had played six Tests for Zimbabwe and was Heath Streak‘s new-ball partner during early 2000s, has made a comeback for Belgium national team. He has been staying in Belgium for some time now. At present, he plays for Brussels Cricket Club.

Recently, in a friendly tri-series that also involved Germany and France, Watambwa led the Belgium side well. They finished first in World Cricket League (WCL) 8 qualifier in 2012.

In the six Tests he played for his country, Watambwa took 14 wickets at 35.00. He made his debut in Tests against Bangladesh at Bulawayo in 2001. The first wicket he took was that of Naimur Rehman of Bangladesh. He last played a Test against India in 2002 at New Delhi. Watambwa also played 21 First-Class matches and 12 List A games in Zimbabwe, before leaving the country and settling down in Miami (United States of America).
