Opening post

A mutherfuggin epiphany happenin' right now up in 'ere

Why hasnt anyone ever considered elton to be an opener before in the odi/t20 format?

guy loves the pace. doesnt show much against spin. has the oomph needed to keep the run rate ticking....and seems to rise more often than not when promoted up the order.

Couldn't do worse than anyone else we have at the top. Mawoyo is not an ODI player at all.

The only reason I would resist this is the fact that we don't have a power hitter later in the order. But certainly this is not a bad idea. But when you have the Aussies and the south Africans bowling early up, even guys with better techniques like Hammy and Raza had to fend off with immense care and judgement. Elton would mostly be undone.

But without losing much though, we can definitely give a go to Vitori. If he comes off, it's spectacular. If not, nothing much to lose.

Hami and Raza need to open BRMT @3 and if Vusi gets some form maybe Hami and BRMT can slot down a spot but I really don't like seeing BRMT bat outside of the top 3 in ODI .....

Elton should stay where he is. I'd put Sibanda lower down the order, maybe just above Elton.

Perhaps this line up is worth a crack in the next match:

Raza

Masakadza

Taylor

Williams

Sibanda

Chigumbura

Chakabva

Utseya

Nyumbu

Chatara

Vitori
