To be honest, I don't see that happening.
Last time I saw him bat was back in 2011 and he didn't really look like international cricket material.
Plus, he hasn't done much in domestic cricket either.
But, you never know.... He played a lot of club cricket while he was away from Zim.
If he has actually improved, he could be the big-hitter we desperately need. At the moment, only Mire seems capable of doing that job.....
P.S. - It would be a great achievement if we even manage to make it to the super eight stage.

I like the look of cephas. A left hander too. He goes blitzkrieg in domestic cricket but rarely goes big. Still he has talent.I would open with him rather than as a middle order bat

I cant help but ask, why is the A side playing this series? Are we concerned that after Afghanistan we can't afford to leave ourselves open to humiliation?
Personally Id be giving Whatmore Carte Blanche here and telling him to pick the players he wants and giving them valuable match practice ahead of the world cup. Theres things you get in games against opposition that you cant practice for in inter squad games and net sessions.

I always felt that Mike Whitney epitomized the typical white Zimbabwean supremacy ideology here. 'Blacks are just as good as whites but they are lazy', is what I always got from this. And his comment about the West Indies was one of the most narrow minded comments I've heard
