What's the point of playing on flat and turning pitches "now" when the WC is just months away??

Good for them. With the various problems ZC has, it's good that players can see that playing for Zim will bring other opportunities.

Personally I'm really happy for all four of them, knowing ZC there's every possibility that the board will have nicked all the money and there won't be a Zim side to go to the World Cup, the players deserve to do something that actually gives them a pay cheque, although I guess there's no guarantee of that in Bangladesh either ........

Yes, there have been problems with BPL and DPL in the past. However, I think Taylor, Chigumbura and Masakadza all played last year, so they must have been treated alright if they have agreed to return this time.

The pitches may be flat, but it still requires tenacity and skill to put on big totals/scores. Test series saw poor totals and only 2 big scores from Hammy and Chakabva. ODI series saw no totals north of 230 odd. DPL so far hasn't seen any notable knocks yet.

Pretty ordinary returns for our guys this time around. Chigs has played most matches - 4.
Hammy: 60 runs at avg 30
Chigs: 36 runs at avg 18
Mire: 58 runs at avg 29
BT: 25 runs at avg 12.5
and
Sean Ervine: 4 runs at avg 2 :D
None of them have got a wicket too.

I think Masakadza is still there. So hopefully he can put in a couple of decent performances before the end of the tournament.

Taylor is playing overseas, of course he is out of form. He will be lucky to score 60 runs total at the World Cup.
