I recently purchased the twice annually produced Zimbabwe Cricketer from 84 to 94. From reading a few it seems the same problems from the early 90's are still problems now. No money, no test countries visiting, no crowds, trying to get more of the black community playing etc. John Ward writes a regular article and must be pulling out his hair with none of the problems been fixed. it's seems that the game was its strongest in the mid 80's when the national side won something like 20-30 one day games in a row, domestic club cricket was very strong, administration was strong, crowds were good, there were regular A team and county sides touring and there was something to strive for in test cricket.

Found them on eBay cost me 2 pounds. Wonder if there is still a publication like this in zim. I might put some articles out of magazines up if I get round to it

Can someone please tell me what was racist about the 'racist white admin of the past'

Because to this day no one has been able to tell me. If the admin of the 80s was trying to get the blackabese to play like I suspected - how were excluding black people?

Well you see, it was a 'racist white admin' because the white people were in charge, and the likes of Bvute, Manase, and Chingoka couldn't steal the money without being held accountable.
