Sedate Sibanda has entered into record books for today's sensational knock. He is number 4 in the all time list of slowest innings. Sadly, he is the only entry after 2008 having such a lowly SR :evil: :evil: :twisted: :twisted:

Think we all know that Vusis time is up after this series and the hunt for an ODI keeper is still on. So we need to find another opener and a WK, perhaps Regis may be given another go but PJ Moor must seriously come into contention now as he has the ability to score quickly coming in at number 7.
Whatmore seems to prefer Raza coming in at the middle order which hints that another opener needs to be found.
In regards to the other opener its fairly slim pickings at the moment, no obvious name springs to mind as its clear that Masakadza wants to bat three, any ideas anyone?

For me:
WK:
1. Coventry (if available for ODIs)
2. Regis (was showing signs of getting smarter in the last few innings)
3. Moor (his struggles in BD still fresh, but there is potential of hitting out though)
4. Forster (May be worth a relook given his domestic form?)
Openers: We play around with our combinations too much. With BT gone, we need our middle order beefed up. I would prefer Chamu - Hammy or Raza - Hammy in an ideal world, but a middle order of Hammy, Raza, Sean and Chigs is pretty solid and I would keep it this way if we have proper opening pair. If Coventry plays, I'll go Chamu - Coventry. Else, Chamu - Raza with middle order appended with Ervine. But we can't go too ga ga about Chamu too. He is inconsistent as well...

True, nut Moor!? :o Did you watch him in Bangladesh. I reckon jury is stull out n Richmond, I would like to see two more innings from him before I make judgement. Today's was a poor effort but Vusi's innings is unforgivable. At least we do have a test wicket keeper now, Regis Chakabva. In fact, good form continuing, Chakabva is worth a place for his batting alone then hopefully Richie fulfils batting potential and becomes our test keeper.
I predict an easy six wicket wicket victory by the 47th over for Pakistan, all thanks to Vusi and Richie again.

I hold Regis responsible for the defeat against Ireland, played a horrible innings, has not got an ODI game. Moor on the other hand has the potential to be a very good ODI WK/Batsman

Not true, he played okay though hardly steller. Did you watch Craig Ervine before him? . Do refer the score card again, please.

Chibhabha's most recent innings have been the most impressive. Lets see how he does next match and for the next four ODIs after, opening.

Regarding Richie, he has mostly shone in the long form of the game, but lack of proper coaching means that talented players like him are not being nurtured and pushed up a level...a bit of a waste really.

ShareChamu has been in and out of the side more times than I can remember and for good reason. He played well last night and deserves his place until his form runs cold again and let's face it, he can't do any worse than Vusi right now so that alone should see him have an extended run opening the batting. The series is lost so Whatmore might as well give Kaia a shot without him having any pressure
