Opening post

No national team players today, but from a Mountaineers' perspective a welcome return to form by Sauramba (finally repaying some of the trust the Indo-German consortium bestowed on the young man), little Roy K keeps churning out the runs, while Tapiwa Mufudza takes four cheap wickets, opening the bowling. If he is not aleady the best limited-overs spinner on the domestic scene he must be mighty close.

Yah, Tapiwa Mufudza's stats a pretty remarkable. Seems he is one to keep an eye out for the future.

Kaia, Masvaure and Chisoro are having good seasons. amazing how playing in a side which competed can lift ones performance.

The two leading wicket takers this limited overs season are Chinoyua and Mpofu, two tall quicks who could have suited the conditions for the WC .....

I still would have liked one of them instead of a batsman or spinner ......

Needs to bat higher up the order in my view with Ervine and Williams away at the WC. Interesting to see that Chari has dropped down the order, i seem to remember him doing well in the middle order on the "A" tour to Bangladesh, perhaps he is better suited in there as opposed to opening the innings.
