Keep Dav. Sack Elton Chigumbura NOW!

Opening post

Dav is quality. The sticking point in the team is the relative of Wilfred Mukondiwa who happens to be the Captain.

Good individual performances here and there BUT no leadership skills, no flare, no desire to win,no dynamic enthusiasm to keep others going, no killer instinct. The list goes on.

I agree, time for a new captain.

Surely it's got to be Raza? So much energy and enthusiasm. Who gives a toss about his origins or the colour of his skin, I think this guy could take us places.

He would bowl himself at all the wrong times and make the team lose. He must first show ability to score more than 20-30 runs consistently higher up the order, before he's given the extra challenge to keep scoring above average from 6/7 like he has just recently learned to do from there. All this would do is make him struggle where he is adjusting better.

I said Chibhabha's purple patch as an opener would be shortlived, same with Chigumbura, and both need to drop down the order. So realistically Raza should not be batting that low. He must move up. He's a top order batsman not an allrounder.

Raza has respect and enthusiasm.

Sean Williams is an awesome tactician.

Hamilton Masakadza has plenty of respect and nonce.

As another possible leader, Vusi Sibanda is an option.

Honestly I was really impressed with the captaincy of Sikandar Raza and the way he led Zimbabwe to victory against India in a T20I match. Surely, Raza has to be the captain at least in T20Is.

I agree with bavuma_rabada, Sikandar should bat up the order and be made captain.

THE BOSS! Leading Zimbabwe to new heights!

In the space of a few months he has slayed the mighty Australia, pretenders from New Zealand and India, then yesterday added Pakistan to the list. South Africa barely survived, but there will be no escaping next time. To their credit England continue to hide from him, but it won't be long before he takes down Sri Lanka and the legendary Windies.

Well on his way to becoming ZImbabwe's greatest captain. The only one to beat all Test nations! :D

Glad there was no hat to go with that as his big head wouldn't fit in it.

How come every after match chat Elton always has to talk about himself- so arrogant and selfish.

I would tend to agree with you Bavuma_ramada, Hamilton would be a much better Captain and perhaps Raza. As you say-perhaps if they had an Uncle high up in ZC...

Sean Williams' Harvard education would come in useful as captain, no wonder both bavuma and rabada rate him highly.

I think Hhm rates Williams so highly simply because he's been there, there abouts for some time now in terms of class. He's just going through a lean spell but like Eugene and Rubber say, his education will serve him well in becoming the skipper
