Agree with everything in the original post. The jury is still out, but he has done better than most young batsmen we have tried in recent years.

From what I have seen, he's better than Chamu, Elton, etc. he does need to work on his technique especially against pace bowling on the offside. But he has a couple of things going for him. He is young and has time to improve. He can hit big especially against spin. He does tend to get bogged down a bit with a lack of running between the wicket, but its no worse than anyone else in the side. In fact this one of the many issues with ZIM as a team...batsmen tend to get bogged down for long periods, resulting setting a subpar total when batting first or allowing the RRR to escalate beyond reach when chasing.
Its imperative that singles are run in the middle overs when the field is spread and boundaries tend to run dry as the ball also gets softer. I might run some stats of all ODIs since July (new rules) to illustrate exactly what I mean.

Moor was the only positive from this series. 2 50's and one 40+ score. In the 5 match series, there was only two 100 run partnerships and the common thing in these were PJ Moor. Now that's what I call consistency. #MoorMania

Oops..that was blunder. Yes it was HM. I confused Moor-Mutambami p'ship of 71, and Moor-Chibhabha of 91 as 100 one in addition to Moor-HM of 104
