What school does he go to? It's comparatively easy to spot the exceptional batsmen, they keep making 100's. The good ones keep making 50's. Who is doing that at school level at the moment? Shardendorff at Ruzawi in Grade 7 is the stand out. I want to see how he does when he starts to face hostile bowling before I go firm, but he looks good.

The one batsman I've always quite liked is Stu Price. A wonderful eye, used to be a good seamer, then had some growing disease and resorted to spin. He was overlooked years ago because they felt he lacked some mettle, and it was not unjustified. I've never seen a worse fielder, which is some statement, but true. I've seen dead tortoises move faster. But I have to reiterate that he has an exceptional eye, can really bat.
