except that I rest my case having shown that Hamilton is only marginally better than Ashraful as match winner, 2.2% to 1.7% of innings. Ie once every 50 innings they will put in a match winning performance. But Hammy is better than Williams and somehow better that Taylor. But behind Ervine and Cremer and Chatara who are all between 3.6 and 5.1%.
But you have a guy like Shakib who is in at around 17% and Tamim in at around 10%. My guess would be guys like Kohli, Smith, Williamson, Starc are probably around 25-30%, or one in every 3rd innings they win matches for their team.
Now here is the challenge for you if you dont like my study: give me parameters you find agreeable for match-winning performances. I guarantee you Hamilton will not turn into a Kohli even if he hides at #6 in the batting order. but why dont we run the numbers and find out? ball is in your court. i provided my study, you can provide yours if you think yours are better. are you as confident as I am?
